Drain repairs, excavation & patch lining in South Shields
PK Plumbing — drain unblocking, jetting and CCTV surveys in South Shields and Westoe and Cleadon. Local Gas Safe engineers, fixed quotes, fully insured.
Latest drain repairs & excavation near South Shields (NE33): Blocked drain cleared in Stanhope Road (NE33) after wipes were found blocking the soil stack by Peter. On site the team jetted clear and the line CCTV checked..
South Shields is coastal terraces, Westoe-style semis and tight town-centre streets. Salt air, older rads and shared drains age differently here. Access in finished rooms is often awkward; neighbour leaks need quick isolation. Ocean Road out to Cleadon — clear quote, proper gas testing, fixes that hold through the next cold snap.
Patch and lining work needs clean pipe and honest access — we’ll say when a short dig is cheaper or safer than forcing a liner. Same straight talk in South Shields and Westoe, Cleadon, and Jarrow.
What you can expect
Reinstatement matters as much as the pipe: we put paths and paving back in courses, not a rushed cold tarmac band.
When you need structural drain repair in South Shields
Jetting clears soft blockages — it doesn’t fix a crack, a dip or a collapsed short length. When CCTV shows structural damage, we quote repair separately: localised excavation, sectional replacement, patch repair or lining where the pipe and access suit it.
If you’re fully blocked today, we can clear for flow first — then book repair as a second phase with evidence, not guesswork.

Clearance first — repair when the pipe is damaged
This page is about excavation, patch repairs and lining after we know what’s wrong. If you’re fully blocked today, our blocked drain team in South Shields can restore flow as a separate emergency job — then we book repair with a proper scope.
Most repair quotes follow CCTV in South Shields so we’re not guessing underground. High-pressure drain jetting in South Shields clears soft blockages but doesn’t fix cracks or collapsed short lengths.
