CCTV drain surveys — domestic & commercial in Edinburgh
Gas Safe registered PK Plumbing handles cctv drain surveys across Edinburgh, Leith and Morningside and surrounding areas — 24/7 for genuine emergencies.
Edinburgh tenements and townhouses are shared stacks, stairwell access and careful work around older fabric. We see macerators in tight bathrooms, combis that struggle with pressure, and heating upgrades where the building itself limits what you can do. Leith through to Morningside — we work to how the property is built, not a catalogue script.
We’re honest when the line can’t be seen end-to-end — partial surveys are labelled as such rather than oversold.
Why choose us
Our cctv drain surveys engineers in Edinburgh document access limits honestly; if we can’t see a section, we say so instead of implying certainty.
When you need a CCTV drain survey in Edinburgh
We run the camera from sensible access points, record the run, and summarise what we saw in plain English — plus watchable files you can forward. If we can’t see a section end-to-end, we say so rather than implying certainty.
After the report, any clearance or repair is your choice with costs upfront — we don’t bundle jetting into a survey you didn’t ask for.
Common questions in Edinburgh
- Do you work on tenement plumbing and shared drains?
- Yes. Shared services and awkward access are normal here. We will say what looks like your side versus common parts when it affects the job.
- Can you repair Saniflo or macerator pumps?
- Regularly — pumps, alarms and discharge lines. We test after the repair.
- Are you Gas Safe registered?
- All gas work is Gas Safe registered. Registration details on request.
- Do you offer leak detection under floors or in kitchens?
- Yes. We trace hidden leaks properly and open up only as much as we need to prove the source.
Typical work we see in Edinburgh
- Tenement stacks and stone buildings — macerators, pressure quirks, shared services.
- Hidden leaks with notes and photos when water has tracked under floors.
- Heating upgrades matched to the building: TRVs, zoning, realistic boiler size.
