Drain repairs, excavation & patch lining in Marchmont
Drain Repairs & Excavation in Marchmont (including Edinburgh and Morningside): drain unblocking, jetting and CCTV surveys — Gas Safe where required, fixed quotes, PK Plumbing, 180+ reviews.
Properties around Marchmont mix older and newer plumbing — pipe age rarely matches the house next door. In the local area we regularly handle boiler breakdowns, hidden leaks, blocked drains and heating that will not balance. Drain Repairs & Excavation here often means kitchen stacks, yard gullies or older clay — we match the method to the pipe, not a one-size rod pass. Including work toward Edinburgh and Morningside.
Patch and lining work needs clean pipe and honest access — we’ll say when a short dig is cheaper or safer than forcing a liner. Same straight talk in Marchmont and Edinburgh, Morningside, and Bruntsfield.
Our approach
Reinstatement matters as much as the pipe: we put paths and paving back in courses, not a rushed cold tarmac band.
When you need structural drain repair in Marchmont
Jetting clears soft blockages — it doesn’t fix a crack, a dip or a collapsed short length. When CCTV shows structural damage, we quote repair separately: localised excavation, sectional replacement, patch repair or lining where the pipe and access suit it.
If you’re fully blocked today, we can clear for flow first — then book repair as a second phase with evidence, not guesswork.
Common questions in Marchmont
- Do you cover all of Marchmont, not just the centre?
- Yes — we work across Marchmont and surrounding neighbourhoods with the same standards. Your job is matched to a local engineer. We also cover Edinburgh and Morningside on the same basis.
- Can you attend same day for emergencies in Marchmont?
- We prioritise genuine emergencies — major leaks, burst pipes, and total loss of heating or hot water. Call for an honest arrival window. We also cover Edinburgh and Morningside on the same basis.
- Do you use CCTV on blocked drains in Marchmont?
- Yes — when a blockage keeps returning or the cause is not obvious, we camera the line so you get proof before major work. We also cover Edinburgh and Morningside.
- Can you jet drains in Marchmont, not just rod them?
- We carry high-pressure jetting kit with the right nozzles for kitchen waste, soil pipes and yard lines — rods alone are not always enough. We also cover Edinburgh and Morningside.
- Are quotes clear before you start in Marchmont?
- We give written scopes for planned work upfront. For diagnostic jobs we explain what is included before we start so you can decide — no vague "turn up and see" pricing. We also cover Edinburgh and Morningside on the same basis.
Typical work we see in Marchmont
- Taps, toilets, radiators and emergency callouts where water loss needs fast isolation — honest quotes before we open floors or walls.
- Marchmont: family homes — we diagnose heating breakdowns and leak detection on site, not from a generic script.
- Gas Safe discipline, tidy reinstatement, and clear paperwork — especially on family homes where access is tight.
