CCTV drain surveys — domestic & commercial in Portobello
Gas Safe registered PK Plumbing handles cctv drain surveys across Portobello, Musselburgh and Leith and surrounding areas — 24/7 for genuine emergencies.
Properties around Portobello mix older and newer plumbing — pipe age rarely matches the house next door. In the local area we regularly handle boiler breakdowns, hidden leaks, blocked drains and heating that will not balance. CCTV Drain Surveys here often means kitchen stacks, yard gullies or older clay — we match the method to the pipe, not a one-size rod pass. Including work toward Musselburgh and Leith.
Access chambers, tight gardens and shared manholes are normal here. Teams surveying Portobello and Musselburgh, Leith, and Joppa learn which runs connect where, so reports describe the right length of pipe.
Why choose us
Choosing us for cctv drain surveys in Portobello means inspection-first: watchable footage, plain-English notes, and no pressure to bundle jetting you didn’t ask for.
When you need a CCTV drain survey in Portobello
We run the camera from sensible access points, record the run, and summarise what we saw in plain English — plus watchable files you can forward. If we can’t see a section end-to-end, we say so rather than implying certainty.
After the report, any clearance or repair is your choice with costs upfront — we don’t bundle jetting into a survey you didn’t ask for.
Common questions in Portobello
- Are quotes clear before you start in Portobello?
- We give written scopes for planned work upfront. For diagnostic jobs we explain what is included before we start so you can decide — no vague "turn up and see" pricing. We also cover Musselburgh and Leith on the same basis.
- Are your engineers Gas Safe registered for work in Portobello?
- All gas boiler repair, installation and servicing is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers. We will show registration on request and leave paperwork where required. We also cover Musselburgh and Leith on the same basis.
- Do you use CCTV on blocked drains in Portobello?
- Yes — when a blockage keeps returning or the cause is not obvious, we camera the line so you get proof before major work. We also cover Musselburgh and Leith.
- Can you jet drains in Portobello, not just rod them?
- We carry high-pressure jetting kit with the right nozzles for kitchen waste, soil pipes and yard lines — rods alone are not always enough. We also cover Musselburgh and Leith.
- Do you understand older properties in Portobello?
- Yes. Many homes here still have older pipework, microbore heating, or upgrades done in layers. We diagnose properly rather than assuming a modern combi fault code tells the whole story. We also cover Musselburgh and Leith on the same basis.
Typical work we see in Portobello
- Portobello: homes — we diagnose plumbing issues and heating problems on site, not from a generic script.
- Taps, toilets, radiators and emergency callouts where water loss needs fast isolation — honest quotes before we open floors or walls.
- Repeat routes through Portobello mean we recognise common fault patterns and bring sensible parts first visit.
After the survey — clearance only if you need it
This page is about camera inspection and reporting. If footage shows a blockage we can clear, our blocked drain team in Portobello handles that as a separate quoted job — so you’re not sold jetting when you only booked a survey.
