CCTV drain surveys — domestic & commercial in Haymarket
Gas Safe registered PK Plumbing handles cctv drain surveys across Haymarket, Edinburgh and West End and surrounding areas — 24/7 for genuine emergencies.
Working in Haymarket and nearby Edinburgh and West End, we see older and newer properties and different property types week in, week out. Mixed housing ages mean boiler sizing, drain method and access planning vary job by job. That local repetition helps on landlord repairs, certificates, and tidy work in finished rooms — we diagnose on site rather than guessing from a postcode. On cctv drain surveys jobs we rod, jet or camera the line first — repeat blockages in Haymarket usually need proof, not another quick clear.
We’re honest when the line can’t be seen end-to-end — partial surveys are labelled as such rather than oversold.
Our approach
We’re picked in Haymarket when people need evidence — purchases, insurance, disputes, or repeat issues — not another “quick clear” without proof.
When you need a CCTV drain survey in Haymarket
Most people book a camera survey for one of three reasons: you’re buying a property and want evidence before exchange; you’re dealing with insurers or neighbours and need proof of what’s in the ground; or you’ve had repeat problems and want to stop guessing.
If the camera reveals debris that blocks the view, we’ll explain whether a light clear is sensible before continuing — major clearances are quoted separately so the visit stays about reporting.
Common questions in Haymarket
- Are quotes clear before you start in Haymarket?
- We give written scopes for planned work upfront. For diagnostic jobs we explain what is included before we start so you can decide — no vague "turn up and see" pricing. We also cover Edinburgh and West End on the same basis.
- Are your engineers Gas Safe registered for work in Haymarket?
- All gas boiler repair, installation and servicing is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers. We will show registration on request and leave paperwork where required. We also cover Edinburgh and West End on the same basis.
- Do you use CCTV on blocked drains in Haymarket?
- Yes — when a blockage keeps returning or the cause is not obvious, we camera the line so you get proof before major work. We also cover Edinburgh and West End.
- Can you jet drains in Haymarket, not just rod them?
- We carry high-pressure jetting kit with the right nozzles for kitchen waste, soil pipes and yard lines — rods alone are not always enough. We also cover Edinburgh and West End.
- Do you understand older properties in Haymarket?
- Yes. Many homes here still have older pipework, microbore heating, or upgrades done in layers. We diagnose properly rather than assuming a modern combi fault code tells the whole story. We also cover Edinburgh and West End on the same basis.
Typical work we see in Haymarket
- Boiler breakdowns, hidden leaks, blocked drains and heating that will not balance — honest quotes before we open floors or walls.
- Haymarket: older and newer properties — we diagnose blocked drains and tap and toilet repairs on site, not from a generic script.
- Gas Safe discipline, tidy reinstatement, and clear paperwork — especially on older and newer properties where access is tight.
After the survey — clearance only if you need it
This page is about camera inspection and reporting. If footage shows a blockage we can clear, our blocked drain team in Haymarket handles that as a separate quoted job — so you’re not sold jetting when you only booked a survey.
