Role overview

PK Plumbing is recruiting a Gas Safe Engineer to support customers across Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Sunderland and Northumberland.

Location and coverage

Covering Newcastle upon Tyne, Gateshead, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Sunderland and Northumberland. Applicants should be able to cover postcode area NE.

Working pattern

Full-time mobile role with booked heating and gas appointments, reactive breakdown work and occasional urgent call-outs.

Education requirements

Valid Gas Safe registration, practical heating experience and a full UK driving licence.

Experience requirements

Minimum three years domestic plumbing and gas work, including boiler repairs, servicing and gas appliances.

Responsibilities

• Attend domestic boiler repairs, installations, servicing and gas appliance work.
• Diagnose heating and gas faults safely and explain options clearly to customers.
• Complete work to Gas Safe standards with accurate job notes and photos.
• Manage reactive appointments while keeping workmanship tidy and professional.
• Represent PK Plumbing professionally in the local area you cover.

Requirements

• Valid Gas Safe registration (essential).
• Minimum three years experience in domestic plumbing and gas work.
• Experience with boiler repairs, installations and servicing.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Reliable, punctual and customer-focused.

Desirable experience

• Manufacturer-specific boiler experience.
• Background in service plans and repeat domestic customers.

• Arrive prepared for heating and gas appointments on time.
• Complete work safely and leave customers informed.
• Identify follow-on work and document it clearly for the office.
• Maintain professional standards on every job.
